AmeriCorps VISTA Members
Primarily perform capacity building duties such as grant writing, volunteer management, reporting, building programs, etc. VISTA members typically spend about 80% of their time performing these capacity building duties, and about 20% of their time performing direct service duties (such as tutoring).

AmeriCorps VISTA members:
- Receive a $833 per-month living stipend (or $949/month in Snohomish county).
- Are eligible for DSHS programs such as Basic Food if the individual is already receiving benefits prior to serving.
- Consistently work at least 40 hours per week during a 12-month period in order to receive a $1200 end-of-service stipend OR a $4, 725 education award.
